Monthly Meeting Summary - June 8th, 2026

Hi Neighbors,

Thank you to all who attended our Civic Association meeting this evening. In this session we had 12 attendees. 

The presentation is attached here. We discussed library summer meals for youths, Berwick's yard sale, and a Father's Day event at the Driving Park Community Center. We also reviewed our recent survey results. In the future, additional emails and facebook events will be made to announce new surveys outside of these meeting recaps so that they are easier to access. 

Please join us in congratulating Emma Hetson as our new Recording Secretary! Emma will take on the role starting in our next monthly meeting. 

During our open floor, we discussed the missed yard waste pick up on some streets last week. If your yard waste, recycling, or trash is missed, please send an email to 311 and file a ticket. The more people filing tickets, the better response we will get. We also discussed events Old Oaks threw in the past, such as the Boulevard Blast, Mardi Grais, Easter, and 4th of July Red White and Boom watch parties. Our Events Committee is excited to bring some of these iconic events back to the neighborhood. Stay tuned for more updates on this!
