Old Oaks Welcome Color Scheme
Hi neighbors!
One of our neighbors who maintains the flowerbed at the south end of Wilson has offered to repaint the sign there. They are willing to provide the paint, supplies, and labor themselves. We asked what do you all think of this proposed color scheme? Here are the results:
There were 41 total votes, 40 Yes and 1 No.
Holy Rosary and St. John Catholic Church Survey - April 2026
Hi neighbors. As you may know, St John church has been given a decree of relegation, meaning that the church building can be sold or demolished. We had an opportunity to provide input to the Diocese, as they wanted to understand community views around the building. Here are the survey results below:
There were 20 total responses. Most were in favor of seeing the building sold. These responses were provided to LAVA-C for further discussion with the Diocese.
Monthly Meeting Poll - April 2026
The Old Oaks Civic Association requested feedback on our Membership and Monthly Meetings. Here are the results below:
There were 17 participants. We decided to keep meetings at their usual Monday evening time. We will continue to hold regular feedback surveys to continue to improve our civic processes.
Chic Harley Memorial Garden Poll - April 2026
Hello neighbors! We had an opportunity to transfer ownership of the Chic Harley garden to the Old Oaks Civic Association. This survey asked, “Should the OOCA own the garden and take on the responsibilities of property taxes, maintenance, etc?” Here are the poll results below:
There were 26 total responses: 13 No, 10 Yes, and 3 Neither. OOCA will not assume ownership of the park.
