Monthly Meeting Notes - February 9th 2026
This month we had guest speakers from Zone In explain details of the new zoning code project. There have been no significant updates to the Columbus building codes since the 1950s. The goal of Zone in is to promote growth in ways that meet the needs of a growing population and economy. An updated zoning code will create the conditions for expanded housing, economic opportunity and new development that benefit all Columbus residents. Zone In aims to modernize the building codes of the City of Columbus to make them fair and accessible while preserving the character of existing neighborhoods and investing in areas harmed by past policies. This includes adding mixed use developments, additional dwelling units, and more to expand housing and economic development. You can access their presentation here.
