PUBLIC NOTICE

LIVINGSTON AVENUE AREA COMMISSION (LAVA-C) ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTION

The Election Committee of the Livingston Avenue Area Commission (LAVA-C) has validated the petitions of the following eight (8) candidates to be placed on the ballot for the three (3) open seats and the two (2) vacant seats for the office of Commissioner of the Livingston Avenue Area Commission:

Josephine Copeland

Danielle Dillard

Kurt Hummel

Frederick LaMarr

Andrew VerHage

Voting will take place in person at the Driving Park Library located at 1422 Livingston Avenue on two available dates and times:

Friday, November 4, 2022 from the hours of 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.

Saturday, November 5, 2022 from the hours of 10:00 am – 11:30 am.

In order to vote:

-You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and must be a resident of the Commission area for a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to November 4, 2022.

-You must provide identification and proof of residence within the LAVA-C boundaries in order to vote. Such identification may be a valid driver’s license, state issued ID, other photo ID, Military ID or a non-photo ID accompanied by another document to show residency within the LAVA-C boundaries (utility bill etc. with current address). The Election Committee’s determination of acceptable ID shall be final. Affidavits and other sworn statements, by themselves, shall never be sufficient.

You may vote for up to, but not more than five (5) candidates to fill the open and vacant seats. The three successful candidates with the most votes will serve the three (3) open three (3) year terms, the candidate with the fourth most votes will serve the remainder of the vacant two (2) year term and the candidate with the fifth most votes will serve the remainder of the vacant one (1) year term.
